I want to serve as your next school board trustee because I bring a unique and necessary perspective as a recent TCISD graduate, a first-generation American, and a dedicated community advocate. My experiences give me a firsthand understanding of the challenges students and families face today. If elected, I would be the youngest trustee on the board and the only Hispanic/Latino member, ensuring our leadership reflects the diverse student body we serve.
Our district has made incredible progress, and I want to build on that by prioritizing communication, community, and safety. With the rapid changes in Texas education, we need strong advocates to ensure our schools receive proper funding, maintain high-quality education, and support our teachers and substitutes with livable wages. We must also fully fund vital extracurricular programs like theater, arts, and band while strengthening relationships with students and the broader community.
As someone who grew up facing many of the same challenges students face today, I understand the importance of representation and mentorship. I never had a leader I could genuinely relate to in my school years, and now, I want to be that role model, proof that no matter your background, you can achieve your dreams. Through stronger community partnerships, transparent budgeting, and student-centered leadership, I will work to ensure every student has the opportunities they need to succeed.
Together, we can build a stronger future for our students and schools. I’m ready to serve, listen, and fight for our community, let’s make it happen!
Schools are the heart of our community, and community engagement is key to student success. As a leader and advocate, I want to strengthen the partnership between the school district and the people it serves. I will work to increase community involvement in district affairs by advocating for advisory committees, hosting community forums, and ensuring public input is considered in major district decisions. By fostering collaboration with local organizations, businesses, and families, we can build a district that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.
A strong school district requires strong communication. I will work to ensure there is a direct and transparent line of communication between the district, staff, parents, and students. This means expanding multilingual communication, utilizing digital and in-person engagement strategies, and making sure district decisions are transparent and easily accessible to all. By improving both internal and external communication, we can build trust, keep our community informed, and ensure every voice is heard in TCISD.
Students and educators cannot thrive in an environment where they don’t feel safe. School safety must remain a top priority, ensuring that students, teachers, and staff feel protected and supported every day. I will advocate for proactive security measures, expanded mental health resources, and stronger bullying prevention initiatives. Safety isn't just about physical security—it’s also about mental health support, staff training, and creating a culture where students feel valued and heard. A safe school is a strong school, and I will work to ensure TCISD remains a place where every student can focus on their education without fear.
